terrace cottage available for holiday rental, at least two hundred years old, on the village
green of Gittisham situated opposite the fourteenth century church.
Until recently, the entire village was owned by the Combe Estate and
staying there is like a journey back in time. Webbers holiday
cottage has been recently tastefully redecorated and furnished to a
high standard, with every modern amenity, so as to accommodate two
people in comfort and elegance.
On the ground floor, there is a
charmingly furnished sitting room, with telephone, internet access,
TV, and a fully-equipped kitchen, with a dining area. On the first
floor is a bedroom, with a 5 ft bed and walk-in wardrobe, and a
modern white bathroom. At the back of the house is a delightful and
surprisingly large cottage garden, with lawns and a level patio area for
leisurely drinks or alfresco meals. There is a charming Summer House
at the back of the rear garden.
